Jake Joyce was born and raised in Duxbury Massachusetts, a coastal suburb
south of Boston. Jake attained his undergraduate degree from Middlebury
College and his law degree from Boston College. Jake is admitted to
practice in the State and Federal Courts in Massachusetts and Colorado.
After a year working at a firm practicing employment discrimination
claims in the Boston area, Jake moved to Colorado with his fiancée
in 1999 and got married a short time later.
During his first three years as an attorney in Colorado, Jake worked at firms in Denver, practicing criminal defense, family law and civil litigation. In his first job in Denver, Jake made daily court apprearances representing indigent defendants in Denver Municipal Court for offenses ranging from park curfew to assault. After that he jumped to the private sector practicing criminal defense, civil litigation and family law.
In
order to offer better service to his clients, Jake set up his own
office in the fall of 2002 where he continues to practice criminal
defense and family law. Jake is a member of the Colorado Bar Association,
Denver Bar Association, and the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar Association.
